enrol的基本意思是成为其中的一员,即“登记,注册”。
enrol用作及物动词时,意为“招收”“吸收”或“给…报名”,可接名词或代词作宾语,也可接动词不定式或以as短语充当补足语的复合宾语。可用于被动结构。用作不及物动词时,后接in可表示“登记参加”,后接with表示“在…处登记”。
enrol在美式英语中通常写作enroll。
在英式英语中,该词拼作enrol; 而在美式英语中,该词常拼为enroll或enrol,但变成分词形式时,均拼为enrolled和enrolling。
