使用:
为迟到找借口或表示抱歉常使用的短语。
意思:
迟到总比不到好;有多少无所谓,总比没有好
例:Come along in. I'rn sorry you had such a bad journey, but better late than never.
进来吧!路上辛苦了,能来就好哇!
EA: I expect you think I'm too old for a holiday on my own?
我猜啊,你一定认为我太老了不能一个人外出度假吧?
B: Not at all, better late than never, I always say!
别那么说。我一直都相信迟干总比不干好这句话。

意思:
无论如何;好也罢,坏也罢;喜欢也好,不喜欢也好
例:For better or worse, we depend on miners far our coal; if they ask for higher wages we really have to listen to them.
不管怎样,我们靠矿工提供煤,如果他们要求加工资,我们也只好照办。

反正(指不管将来后果如何)他们恋爱了。
