The Ten Most Influential Persons Born in 1980s
On a famous forum, the result of the ten most influential persons born in 1980s of the year 2007 selected through Internet has been disclosed, which has drawn the public attention immediately and is regarded as the most objective ranking list truly reflecting the opinions of the netizens(网友) all over the country.
The list, which covers various fields such as entertainment, sports, culture and business, include the following names: Wang Baoqiang (王宝强), Chen Chusheng (陈楚生), Liu Xiang (刘翔), Han Xue (韩雪), Zhang Yiyi (张一一), Li Xiang (李想), Guo Jingming (郭敬明), Pan Xiaoting (潘晓婷), Mao Kangkang (茅侃侃) . Mr. Wang ranks the first, followed closely by Yi Jianlian (易建联) for his wonderful performance in NBA and Chen Chusheng who is the champion in the National Happy Male Voice Competition(快乐男声) organized by Hunan Provincial TV (湖南卫视) .
About the inclusion of Mr. Wang, the media veterans (媒体资深人士) point out that the reason for Mr. Wang’s unexpected success is that he represents the majority of the grassroots. The numerous hardworking young people can find comfort, trust and encouragement from his experience. About Han Han’s (韩寒) exclusion from the list, some netizens are of the opinion that he has not written any work for many years. His reputation still rests on Three Gates (《三重门》) published seven years ago. And his latest work entitled Glorious Days (《光荣日》) published in 2007 is obviously a combination of fragments (拼凑之作) without creativity. As to Yaoming (姚明) ’s exclusion, it is said that there are two main reasons. One is that his team Houston Rockets (休斯敦火箭队) has suffered a series of defeats recently, and the other is that Yao, in spite of his excellent basketball skills, cannot represent the radical young people born in 1980s because of his outdated personality characterized by conservativeness and reservation (保守拘谨的性格) .
